Advanced Energy Management Alliance sent a formal letter with comments to the United States Trade Representative addressing equipment that would be adversely effected should the White House proposed tariffs be imposed on China. In particular, smart thermostats, which have been widely adopted by consumers to save energy, would be impacted by these prospective duties. AEMA’s letter addresses the negative repercussions that certain duties could have on U.S. advanced energy industries and consumers.
